The Jurong Bird Park in Singapore is a world-famous bird zoo and tourist attraction managed by Widlife Reserves Singapore. Opened in 1971, the Park, which was built at a cost of $3.5 million, is currently the world's largest bird park in terms of number of birds, with over 9,000 birds of 600 species including 29 endangered species, and second largest in terms of land area after Germany's Vogelpark Walsrode.
